Raptors pull off a convincing win

Kris Humphries aka Big Sexy
Genius poster idea. Gotta love Big Sexy :P

A great win for the Raptors… a couple of Random thoughts here:

  • Great all-around game for the Raptors, the third straight where they’ve kept the opposing team to 40% or under.
  • Kris Humphries with another huge game, with a double-double (16pts/12boards). He’s been doing a lot of the dirty work for this team and it was huge for us today.
  • Delfino had a great statline all across the board with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Not to mention he’s constantly moving without the ball and has a pretty good handle, too (maybe play a bit of point?). He used to make me cringe when he’d overshoot the ball, but he’s really doing a lot for the Raps when he’s on the floor with a couple of great dishes to Kapono while the two were on the floor.
  • I know it’s a win and I can’t really complain a lot but Bosh was extremely efficient on the offensive end; 7-11 with 17 points. I just wish he’d get more touches since it seems our offense (when we get it really going) is deep rooted with Bosh getting a touch.
  • Speaking of Kapono, it was great to see him on the floor, especially among all the injuries mounting up and still knocking down the J.
  • Bargnani, on the other hand, is still struggling a bit and trying to find his rhythm. He did hit that three off glass, but no boards?
  • Moon hasn’t been producing as well on the offensive end although he’s been consistently solid on D. The J was going down earlier but lately it seems it hasn’t been falling for him. Regardless, I’d rather see more of Jamario, the slasher.
  • I’m not gonna lie, I did let out a little chuckle after D Mart stole the ball for Dirk and got hacked on his way to the rim. More so, cause it was like “ahhh…. not again”. Especially since it was D Mart.
  • On the topic of being hacked, it was awesome seeing TJ join the team on the sidelines. He received a great applause with a little “TJ…TJ….” chant and all. Great to see him smiling and well. Can’t wait to you on the floor again, TJ. What a warrior.
  • Lastly, I know this is Toronto and we really love being part of the action when watching live, but I hope Horford is not the next target for a booing bonanza. I saw the play (over and over last night) and I agree it was a bad, hard foul on but I’m certain there was no intent to hurt TJ on that play and you can see it in his face. He’s apologized to TJ and spent hours with him in the hospital. I was listening to Bryan Colangelo on the radio and he mentioned how it was more of TJ consoling Al since he genuinely felt awful about the play. No doubt, it was a boneheaded play, but there was no ill-intent so lets hold no grudge.

  1. An excellent result even without TJ Ford. This is how great team work can overcome any odds.

I hope this great run continues for the Raptors. As for DELFINO, I’ll leave that to you guys to give me some comments here
